Overview
ScholaForge is a learning-focused web application that turns AI conversations into reusable personal textbooks. It supports inline questioning, Q&A memo retention, and automatic quiz generation so users can move from exploration to retention in one flow. The stack combines Next.js 14 App Router, AWS Amplify Gen2, AppSync GraphQL, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, Cognito, S3, Tiptap, Tailwind CSS, and AWS Bedrock.
The challenge
What you learn in a chat disappears as you go and can't be looked back on. Building study materials is a chore, and review stalls before it even starts.
How it was built
My role
- Designed the product flow from AI chat to textbook creation and quiz-based review
- Built the frontend with Next.js App Router and responsive web app UX
- Implemented backend resources with Amplify Gen2, AppSync GraphQL, Lambda, DynamoDB, Cognito, and S3
- Integrated AWS Bedrock for conversation, inline questions, and quiz generation
- Documented the project structure, test workflow, and branch strategy for ongoing development
Design decisions
- Transforms AI interactions into reusable long-form study material instead of disposable chat logs
- Supports inline question handling and memo retention directly inside the textbook workflow
